Make sure you have created guest OS.

Step 1.
Create a shortcut with the following TARGET line (adapted to your environement)

“C:Program FilesVMwareVMware Workstationvmware.exe” -X “D:My Virtual MachinesWS2003.vmx”

The -X opens in Full screen
Replace “D:My Virtual MachinesWS2003.vmx” with your vmx file location.
The “” are required.

Step 2. Copy/ cut your shortcut and paste in.your start up directory
